"It’s about feeling accepted, the magnificence of being welcomed into queer spaces and those once in a lifetime people you get to meet when you’re there," said the 31-year-old pop star.

The dance-pop single was produced by regulars in the XCX universe, including Charli, ILYA, Omer Fedi, frequent collaborator A.G. Cook and boyfriend George Daniel of The 1975. Fueled by shimmering synth lines and a short-circuited chorus, the standalone release will keep you dancing till the dawn.

“The song is about finding the people you truly love and connect with through wild nights out and partying in magical places,” Charli said. “It’s about feeling accepted, the magnificence of being welcomed into queer spaces and those once in a lifetime people you get to meet when you’re there.”

Ahead of the song’s release, the 31-year-old “Hot In It” singer defended Smith against hateful social media comments. “Hi everyone. I’m about to release a song with Sam Smith, and the experience has been really interesting,” she said on TikTok. “Never in my life have I seen someone receive so many hateful comments online. It’s been really disheartening.”

“At the same time, I am so proud of Sam’s ability to withstand that because I know I certainly couldn’t withstand it,” she continued. “Sam, I love you, I love our song together, and I am in awe of your strength.”
