Funny enough, most of the mentioned acts are Music Daily alumni in the Music Discovery and Featured Artist Friday categories– kudos to all the artists performing for the dubbed “Pop Titan.”
What To Expect On The ‘Eras Tour’
After releasing her record-breaking 10th album, Midnights, Swift will embark on her first stadium world tour of the decade. After first teasing the tour with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show last week, she confirmed it yesterday on Good Morning America.
Since the third highest-grossing tour of all time, Reputation, the star has released four original albums. However, Swift described the tour as “a journey through the musical eras of my career,” with a graphic showing her look from said phases.
There are nine color-coded acts, ranging from well-established bands like Paramore and HAIM, indie acts like girl in red and Phoebe Bridgers, and TikTok sensations GAYLE and beabadoobee.
But let’s not forget this supporting act, queer pop band MUNA, and their support for Swift in this tweet.
The “Eras Tour” embarks on a four-month journey beginning in March 2023 til August. Swift will travel to 20 cities for 27 dates. So, yes, you may see the superstar twice in select cities like Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
And there are still Easter eggs everywhere. The first show, March 18, 2023, in Glendale, AZ, is the same place Swift’s pre-pandemic “Reputation” tour began in 2018. Also, the 2023 tour’s closing dates in L.A. signify the supposed opening dates of the canceled 2020 “Lover Fest” mini-tour.
How To Get Tickets
The public on-sale happens at 10 a.m. local time on November 18. With Capitol One’s partnership on Taylor Swift’s new tour, its case holders have earlier access to tickets, starting November 15 at 2 p.m. through November 17 at 10 p.m. local time.
Like her “Reputation” tour, there will be a Ticketmaster Verified Fan program “to ensure tickets get into the hands of fans.” Registration for the setup is now through November 9 here.
Swift announced ticket prices in advance, which will set a trend that shifts away from vague fixed “platinum ticket” prices.
Tickets range from $49 up to $449. VIP packages start at $199 and go up to $899.
