Featured Artist Friday: Get Into Omar Apollo With Us

If you’re an R&B and dream pop fan, we’re sure you’ll have heard of the name of one of the biggest growing artists of the genre. Omar Apolonio Velasco, musically known as Omar Apollo, is the Indiana LATIN Grammy winner that was able to connect influences from hip-hop and reggaeton to funk, creating a completely new approach to the genres and making a transformative and new personal theme.

Discover Omar Apollo

Getting ready for the release of his fifth studio album, Omar Apollo has released some singles that led him to become a highly influential shape-shifter in the latin indie genre. Hits like “Evergreen (You Didn’t Deserve Me At All)” and “3 Boys” reveal a unique approach to music inspired by R&B and dream pop icons like Lana Del Rey, Frank Ocean, and Joji – with whom he also collaborated in the single “High Hopes.” Omar Apollo in fact also presented unmatched collaboration with artists of the likes of Toronto hit maker Daniel Caesar (“Invincible”) and American R&B icon Kali Uchis (“Worth The Wait”) and more.
