Selena Gomez is Working on New Music

SHARE

Good news, Selenators! Selena Gomez has revealed that she’s working on new music, and is even open about going on tour!

Selena is a Bilingual Star

It’s only been a year since we last got new solo music from Selena, but she’s already working on more! Last year, the pop star released her Spanish EP Revelacion, which included hit tracks like “De Una Vez,” “Baila Conmigo,” and “Selfish Love.” But, if that wasn’t enough, she joined forces with Camilo a few months later for “999,” another Spanish hit song.

But Selena did not forget about her English-speaking fans. In 2020, she released her first album in five years, Rare. The album included pop anthems like “Dance Again,” “Look At Her Now,” and “Lose You To Love Me.” In short, it was a masterpiece. Also, she united with Coldplay earlier this year for their ballad “Let Somebody Go.”

She’s Working on Her New Album!

Fast forward to now, it looks like new music from Selena could be coming sooner than we think. While speaking on Deadline’s Crew Call podcast recently, she spoke about where she stands at the moment. “I just finished Season 4 of my cooking show [Selena + Chef], and I am in L.A. working on my album now.” About going on tour, she added, “I am open to a tour, 1,000 percent. But I obviously have obligations and things that I want to do, so, when the time’s right. It’s not the top of my priority list.”

Just last year, Selena opened up about how she would never quit making music. “I don’t think I’ll ever quit making music,” she told Elle Magazine. “I’m not saying I want a Grammy. I just feel like I’m doing the best I can, and it’s all about me. Sometimes, that can really get to me… You’re pouring yourself out.”
