Morgxn Challenges the Idea of a ‘Modern Man’ in His Latest Single

American LGBTQ+ supporter and advocate Morgan Isaac Karr, famously known by his stage name Morgxn, dropped a new single recently. The political song follows the lines of his previous work, supporting the personal identity of humans and criticising today’s society and its unilateral vision of how men should be. Discover with us the Los Angeles’ singer’s new raw, personal, and brave song, “Modern Man.”

Modern Man

Would you consider yourself a modern man? And what even is a “modern man?” Morgxn took a piece of paper and a pen and went against any sort of objective definition of our society’s vision of a stereotypical man. He then sang his critique in his new single.
Strongly making his trademark his sexual identity, Morgxn is not only a singer of gay rights but also an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. His beliefs resonate loud in his late single.

The song “Modern Man” is a critique of the idea of men that society has. Ironically portraying himself as the “modern man” society expects him to be, the singer represents all the inane discriminations that men in the LGBTQ+ community – and in general – have to go through on a daily basis for not respecting the stereotypical image of a man.

The song is based on strong images through the use of words. Morgxn didn’t think twice about taking the opportunity to represent the harsh and raw reality that a man has to face on a daily basis.

He uses graphic images and representations in a virtually visual description of his experience.

Sucker punch to the side, sometimes I cry
Got my head and my heart learning how to walk it in time
I know I could let it go, let someone take control
And just go for the ride

Personal and brave, the song shows the artist taking yet another stand against the abuse he went through and that he wants to stop.

Beacon

The single was preceded by the release of “Beacon.” The song is on the same theme as the latest drop. It is yet again a musical representation of the artist shouting against society and its repressive nature.

Morgan was vulnerable in his strong and brave attack to society’s limits and oppressions. The artist announced his single on social media saying:

“I wasn’t sure how to begin or that I would begin again. there’s that quote by Anais Nin ‘and the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.'”

so with all the fear and excitement and joy I give you Beacon.
