Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA will once again host the two-weekend celebration catered to fans of all musical genres. Ticket sales launched on Friday, June 16, at 2:00 p.m. EST.
Some Memorable Moments in The Festivals History
Year after year, the festival seeks out in-demand artists from around the world attracting over 250,000 concert-goers annually. Coachella creates career-defining moments for artists and an unforgettable festival experience. From Beyoncé’s headlining performance in 2018 to Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga in 2017 and 2014’s memorable show with Nas, Outkast, and Lana Del Rey.
Even more, the late Prince graced the stage with his catalogue of No. 1 hits back in 2008, while Daft Punk’s 2006 performance is considered Coachella’s best electronic set of all time. The performance sparked a rebirth of dance music, proving the impact the festival can have on trends and consumers of music. Not to mention, headliners Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg ignited in 2012 the stage with a hologram of rapper Tupac as they performed “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted” and “Gangsta Party.” The list goes on and on. Every year, the festival streams live on YouTube for those who are unable to witness the magic in person.
Coachella 2023 featured headlining performances from record-breaking Latin artist Bad Bunny, K-Pop group BLACKPINK, and the one and only Frank Ocean, who came out of the woodwork for a performance. Unfortunately, Ocean suffered an ankle injury and had to call out of the second weekend. Luckily, Blink-182 stepped up to the plate and pulled through with a show-stopping performance. Also, performances from a diverse lineup of artists such as Burna Boy, Idris Elba, Becky G, Chemical Brothers, Rosalía, Charli XCX, Sofi Tukker, Björk, Fisher, boygenius, Latto, and more.
