Tamera’s Year-Long Hiatus is Over With “Wickedest”

Exactly one year after the release of her last song “Flipside,” Tamera is back with a new empowering new single, “Wickedest.”

Tamera Returns With New Music After a Year

Tamera is a UK-based breakout R&B artist. Although she only has four singles out including “Wickedest,” she has accumulated over 50,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Her fanbase is growing, and her 2020 song “Flipside” proves it, as it already surpassed the incredible milestone of 1 million streams.

Tamera expressed her excitement about the new single coming out on Instagram, captioning her post, “Loved ones, It’s been a year now since I dropped flip side & I’ve been quiet but believe your girls been working and it’s been for good reason. This one is for everyone that’s about embracing their cosmic sexual energy! A huge thank you to everyone involved yall are the real GOATS. I hope you take this in well my darlings & if you don’t whine up yourself I just don’t know for you.”

Embracing Her Female Energy on “Wickedest”

“By the way you’re looking at me. I know you wanna do me some damage. If I say that it’s yours, then I promise you can get it all. I got the wickedest, got the wickedest, the wickеdest, the wickedеst. Teasing you ’til you begging for more. On sight, all night, saying, ‘Gimme this,’” Tamer sings in the chill chorus.

Embracing her raw female energy, “Wickedest” is an effortless blend of R&B vocals with West African percussion and seductive guitar licks. The track sees her teaming up with producer P2J (WizKid, Beyonce, Snoh Aalegra).

Speaking on the single, Tamera tells Broadway World, “‘Wickedest’ is about embracing my sexual energy as a female. Finding strength in being able to love and be intimate with who you please and feeling liberated in doing so. It’s a flirtatious conversation with someone I like and lust. Almost teasing them because I know when it goes down I will not disappoint. But, also making it clear that I demand the same time and work in return.”
