Sophie and The Giants Are Taking Over ‘Right Now’

Sophie and The Giants return with yet another giant hit with the neo-pop anthem “Right Now”. The song’s nostalgic 80’s vibes match well with The Giants’ modern indie style to make a joyful dance hit.

The song’s uplifting message emphasizes that no matter what happened in the past, it is your time right now. Sophie’s lighthearted lyrics of not being shackled by fear or regret are solid front and center. That, as well as, the electro-pop instrumental makes us forget our winter blues and want to just dance.

“Right Now” is a defiant ode to the good times we miss and know will come again. The song embodies the unbridled expression of joy and freedom designed to bring some joy into people’s lives.
“In a time where we feel lost and stuck in an endless cycle, we want to feel those real-life highs again and we want it now more than ever.” Explains Sophie. “Right Now” is about the frustration we feel and how we want to be let loose upon the world again. We hope wherever people are this will give them the feeling, for a moment, that anything is possible again”

The single was written by Sophie & Mike Kintish, who together also collaborated with Tino Schmidt, aka Purple Disco Machine. The collective previously collaborated to create “Hypnotized,” certified as one of the biggest pan-European hits of 2020.

Sophie and the Giants Getting Bigger

Clocking up triple platinum status in Italy, platinum in Poland & gold across a further 7 countries in Europe, “Hypnotized” has been streamed a staggering 200 million times, the video viewed 65 million times on YouTube, and it hit 2 in the European Airplay Charts.

For the Band, the idea of becoming bona-fide pop stars in Europe while in the middle of a lockdown was a surreal one. Now the band from Sheffield, England has had opportunities to perform for Power Hits Estate 2020 in THE Coliseum.

No one knows what in store for the band that has only been on the scene for roughly two years. With the ways things are going however, we should expect some big things from the band in the future and hopefully this year a debut album.
