Cautious Clay Has Great Karma On His Latest

One of the lesser known acts expected to pop-off this is Cautious Clay. The Indie R&B singer/songwriter has created his own lane with such unique sounds and this single is no different. “Karma & Friends” showcases the young talent’s range and potential. His laid back and dreamy approach is comforting and the huge string arrangement is truly immersive.

Last month the singer songwriter released his full-length project Deadpan Love and what an introduction it is. As Cautious Clay’s first full-length album, there is a pretty high expectation for this project. Luckily, Cautious Clay delivers on this one, showing his range and soothing sound.

The 14-track album is almost entirely Cautious Clay himself. There is one track titled “Strange Love” that features the conscious rapper Saba. Other than that, all we hear is the creativity of one talented upcoming musician.

What we do hear from this new era of Cautious Clay is a familiar sound. Coming with the same live string instrumentals and airy vocal melodies, he give us a more matured style from his previous EPs.

In 2017 he released “Cold War“, the first single from his debut EP Blood Type. It is one of his biggest songs to date and arguably put him on the map.

Clay’s second EP Resonance, released that next year with a quick third EP Table of Context to follow up.

This musician is taking a new approach to indie R&B and has created an amazing sound all his own. That’s what has earn him this New Music Monday feature.
