Get to Know Normani!
Normani was part of the girl group Fifth Harmony until the group announced they were going on hiatus indefinitely. In 2018, she released her first outside single alongside Khalid, ‘Love Lies,’ which became a hit. Everyone was impressed with Normani, and wanted to keep getting more music from her.
After the release of ‘Love Lies,’ she collaborated with other big names such as Calvin Harris, Sam Smith, Nicki Minaj, and Ariana Grande.
In 2019, Normani released her first solo single ‘Motivation,’ which blew up. The single peaked in the top 40 and was certified platinum in the U.S! In the music video, she shows off her dancing skills, which are just unbelievable.
Her Songs are a Hit
Her singles have gained great recognition, and she’s even won big awards. ‘Love Lies’ earned her a Teen Choice Award in 2018 and an iHeartRadio Music Award in 2019. ‘Waves’ won Best R&B Video at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2019. Finally, ‘Dancing With a Stranger’ also earned an iHeartRadio Music Award in 2020 as well as an MTV Video Play Award in 2019.
But that’s not it! Normani has also collaborated with big brands such as Puma, endorsing their RS-0 shoes. She was also announced as the very first ambassador of Rihanna’s lingerie brand, Savage X Fenty. She also performed a dance sequence on the Savage X Fenty runway show in September 2019, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video.
