Featured Artist: Baby Keem

As musical innovators hint at retirement, the torch is now being passed to some of Hip-Hop’s most promising new artists. In rap especially, there’s a lot of talent that cannot break past the SoundCloud rapper status. Baby Keem has set himself apart from the rest with his impressive writing credentials and unique sound.

Keem’s come up

Keem dips his toes into a fair share of trap inspired beats and lyrics, but with a westside touch. Repping Las Vegas, Baby Keem started his rap career at 13 and has some family in the game with cousin Kendrick Lamar.

Beyond that, he is a dynamic musician that has shown his co-producing skills with some of the greats.  Keem is credited on hits like Schoolboy Q’s “Lies” and Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar‘s “Nile,” on The Lion King.

The XXL Freshmen class member has turnt tracks of bass-heavy headbangers with songs like “FRANCE FREESTYLE“. Baby Keem can also show his range in slower emo rap with songs like “MY EX” or “HONEST.”

His Most recent projects came in August of 2020 with two singles–“hooligan” and “sons & critics freestyle.”

The creative rhymer has an ear for hits, and a mentor pushing him to evolve with his melodies. With a strong breakout song in 2019 that went viral on none-other than TikTok with “ORANGE SODA“.  It became Keem’s first song to chart on Billboard six months after its release on his albumDIE FOR MY BITCH.relationship with music genius and cousin Kendrick Lamar, Baby Keem has all the tools to become one of the best in Hip-Hop in the coming years.

With recent songs released, expect Keem to put out a project of some kind and for him to maybe make a case for our Hip-Hop’s top albums list this year.
