Kendrick Lamar Announces His Last TDE Album

Last week, the always inspiring Kendrick Lamar shocked the Hip-Hop hemisphere with an announcement of a new project. oklama are the last words at the bottom of a letter as Kendrick writes  sincerely to his fan letting us know that this is his final TDE album.

Kendrick Lamar

He writes “While the world around me evolves, I reflect on what matters the most. The life in which my words will land next.”

The news was so bitter-sweet, and the letter encapsulated the charisma of the Compton native so well. Kendrick Lamar also showed love for the TDE group that help him get his start in the first place.

Ok, Kendrick Lamar

“As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years. The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling.”

As the creator of some of Hip-Hop’s most loved albums like good kid, mA.A.d city, To Pimp A Butterfly, and DAMN.  it is safe to say this will be a hit. However, the weight of this album will be so different from the rest. Maybe further down the road, Kendrick will find a way to do it on his own. But for now, this will be the last to hear from one of the best, if not the best, rappers of the last decade.

After a year of so much craziness over the past year and a half, we are on track to have albums from Kanye West, Drake, Young Thug, and now Kendrick Lamar. It is truly a great time to be a fan of Hip-Hop and rap. Get your seatbelts buckled in for an amazing end to 2021. For all the updates on more of you favorite artist check-in with music daily.
