Sinéad Harnett Shares Emotional “Where You Been Hiding”

English singer-songwriter Sinéad Harnett shared an emotional ballad. “Where You Been Hiding” arrives after the first single from her newest album Ready is Always Too Late, released in May earlier this year.

“Where You Been Hiding” is Honest and Emotional

Sinéad has surely been working on a lot of new music this year. Her third studio album, Ready is Always Too Late, came out only a few months ago. The album featured 11 total songs and included features with artists such as EARTHGANG and Lucky Daye. The single didn’t make the cut for the album, but the singer decided it was finally time to share it with the world.

In “Where You Been Hiding,” Sinéad expresses feeling the uncertainty wanting to have the right person by your side, but sadly, you’re still looking for them. “Where you been hiding? Tеll me why you’re just so hard to find…Where you been hiding? I’ve been waiting for you all my life,” she sings in the chorus.

Sinéad Reveals the Story of the New Single

On the release of her new single, Sinéad shares, “I started writing this song whilst making my second album ‘Ready is Always Too Late.’ At the time I was honestly asking myself why I couldn’t seem to make any romantic relationship work. I was questioning if it will ever happen, and if so where this person is. As time’s gone on and I eventually finished the song, I reflected on its meaning. The relationship I’ve had with myself needed some work and healing, which brings a whole new deeper level to the song for me. I’d been hiding from myself for too long.”

On an Instagram post, Sinéad added, “I wrote this song thinking I’d been searching my whole life for the right ‘one,’ but really I needed to stop searching for him and start finding myself. Maybe I got caught up in this continuous unhealthy pattern because deep down I needed to nourish and heal my inner child, show her what she truly deserves. Sometimes you don’t get what you want til you believe in what you’re worth.”
