Reneé Rapp Headlines Second Tour
As soon as Huntersville-bred vocalist Reneé Rapp sets her debut album free on August 18, she dives into her Snow Hard Feelings Tour the following month. Accompanying her is Snow Angel co-producer Alexander 23 and promising singer-songwriter Towa Bird.
To be exact, the trio kicks off on Rapp’s second headlining tour on September 15th in Houston, Texas at the Bayou Music Center. Next, they will navigate through cities San Diego, Phoenix, Oakland, Seattle, Chicago before wrapping up in Brooklyn NY.
Supporting Acts Alexander 23 And Towa Bird
Alexander 23 is a friend and creative partner of Reneé, who played a significant role in the artistic process of Snow Angel. He offered emotional support as well as innovative ideas. It was important to feel comfortable around her creative partner because of how personal the record is.
Not to mention, he’s the co-writer of Olivia Rodrigo’s Billboard No. 1 hit “good 4 u” as well as Rapp’s title track “Snow Angel.” Alexander took matters into his own hands penning “IDK You Yet” characterized by emotional lyrics over simple guitar licks.
Alexander 23 writes about the upcoming Snow Hard Feelings Tour Via Instagram:
“i honestly wasn’t gonna tour in north america at all this year but then @reneerapp asked me and how could i say no to this!!!!” “And with my dogg @towabird. see u this fall for the show of a lifetime!!!!”
Furthermore, Reneé grants Towa Bird the opportunity to perform alongside her on the Snow Hard Feelings Tour. Playing guitar comes second nature to Bird, strumming since the age of 12. Now 24 years old, her guitar expertise has been admired by millions thanks to TikTok. The young star would flaunt her talents, neat guitar collection, and play guitar over trending hip-hop, pop, and R&B tunes. Even more, Willow Smith and Tyler, The Creator stumbled across her videos and expressed admiration.
But instead of writing songs like the ones she grew up listening to from heteronormative perspectives, she wrote from a queer lens and experience. In Towa’s music she further explores identity, queerness and love.
What We Can Expect From Snow Angel
The breakup that inspired her 2022 EP Everything to Everyone led Reneé through emotional turbulence that the songstress continues to navigate through in Snow Angel. We can expect absolute transparency about her mental state, relationships and experiences.
When discussing the new album Rapp states to Rolling Stone:
“It is the most intense interpersonal relationships and experiences that I’ve had over the last five months, whether they be good or bad,” she says. “And all of them are bad.”
Additionally, she reveals that the album sonically centers around the R&B and classic rock she listened to growing up.
