Queen’s Platinum Jubilee will host huge artists

Queen Elizabeth II is about to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee. The long-awaited UK public event will feature incredible artists as Alicia Keys, Queen +Adam Lambert, George Ezra and many more.

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is a very important occasion in UK Government. In fact, it corresponds to the celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s 70th anniversary of her accession. The accession took place on 6 February 1952. An announcement from Buckingham Palace on 10 January 2022 gave multiple information on the event. As stated, the Platinum Jubilee will be celebrated in the Commonwealth.

As stated on the official site of the UK Government, “the Government House confirms that although celebrations will begin on Thursday 2 June, the Official Public Holiday will fall on Friday 3 June 2022.”

As announced, the Platinum Jubilee will present huge artists to perform for the Queen herself. These artists include nothing less than Queen + Adam Lambert. The band will perform with both the remaining members of 80s rock band Queen, Brian May and Roger Taylor, and Adam Lambert. The band will open the event. Moreover, this will be an important moment for guitarist Brian May, who will return to Buckingham Palace after 20 years.

Also Alicia Keys, Hans Zimmer, Ella Eyre, Craig David, Mabel, Elbow and George Ezra will join the three stages for the event. The stages will also see the participation of nothing less than DURAN DURAN, Andrea Bocelli, Mimi Webb, Sam Ryder, Jax Jones, Celeste, Nile Rodgers, Sigala and Diversity.

The event will also see the participation of other artists who will join through a screen. Films and videos of music artists, actors, athletes and more will be shown as well. The names announced include Sir David Attenborough, David Beckham, Emma Raducanu, Stephen Fry, Dame Julie Andrews, The Royal Ballet and Ellie Simmonds. Also the UK Eurovision winner Sam Ryder will perform.

A special recorded performance from Sir Elton John will appear on the screen as well.

The BBC will broadcast the event on Saturday, 4 June.
