Los Angeles-based pop boyband PRETTYMUCH, announced that one of its founding members, Nick Mara, will be leaving the group.
Becoming A 4-Member Band After Six Years
Sad news for all the BEANZ! Six years after Simon Cowell formed the band, PRETTYMUCH is losing a member. Nick Mara is choosing to go on a different route and follow his individual steps. Now the band is down to only four members.
Over the years, PRETTYMUCH has accomplished a lot as a band. They average over ten million views on each of their music videos on YouTube, released four EPs, and have multiple collaborations with artists like Jeremih, CNCO, Lil Tjay, Rich the Kid, and more. Currently, the boyband has more than three million monthly listeners on Spotify. That’s not bad at all for a band that has yet to release a full album.
PRETTYMUCH Begins New Era Without Nick & Releases “H2L”
Furthermore, we will have to wait and see how they adjust to the new circumstances. On their social media, PRETTYMUCH shared a heartfelt message to address Nick’s exit. “We’d like to start off by saying we love each and every one of you for sticking by us and for showing us endless love for the last six and a half years. We’ve had some very difficult conversations as a band over the past month that is in no way easy for us to inform you about, but necessary. Nick Mara is formally leaving the band.”
They clarified, “This is NOT the end of PRETTYMUCH.” “It is simply a new beginning where we can finally feed you guys the music and content you deserve in our own way!”
In addition, Nick Mara released his own statement. “These guys will always be my brothers and I can’t thank them enough for helping me grow throughout these past 6 years. They have helped me through the good times the bad and all in between. And to you fans, friends, and family, thank you for always showing so much support and love. I’m excited about my new journey and I am also excited for the future of PRETTYMUCH.”
To officially begin PRETTYMUCH’s new era without Nick, the band shared a new single exclusively on their YouTube channel, called “H2L.”
