Pop hits and classic masterpieces: the soundtrack of the first season

The first season of the tv series is what defines what we should expect from the long-awaited return of Bridgerton. American composer and pianist Kris Bowers created the ambience of the tv series with his ability in adapting pop songs to the series’ classic era. Pop singles like Thank u, next by Ariana Grande, Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift or Billie Eilish’ bad guy, were arranged to be performed by an orchestra, perfectly found their place along the episodes of the series. They are also what defined the music of the first season of the acclaimed series. Moreover, in season 1, some classical repertoire appeared as well. These included Shostakovich’s Jazz Suite No. 2, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 and ‘Waldstein’ Sonata and Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons. The Vitamin String Quartet performed all the songs.

We do not doubt that the success of the series is also due in large part to the work of Kris Bowers with the soundtrack of the series.
