Nathaniel Rateliff has joined the lineup for Georgia Comes Alive!, a one-day virtual music festival featuring 50 music artists. The event is taking place on December 26th to get out the vote in the upcoming runoff elections.
The folk-rock singer-songwriter has steadily released music since 2005, but in January of this year Rateliff dropped And It’s Still Alright, his first solo album in almost seven years. Previously, his focus was on his group Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats.
Nathaniel Rateliff Cares
GA Comes Alive! is not his first performance in support of a cause. Earlier this year, Rateliff performed for Bernie Sanders’ 2020 St. Paul, MN campaign rally. Likewise, ahead of his performance on Saturday, he and Elle King released a new COVID-inspired Christmas song, ‘Xmas to Forget’ on Christmas Eve.
The song release is in support of The Marigold Project, a civil rights effort raising donations to Farm Aid and StrongHearts Native Helpline. Farm Aid is an annual benefit concert launched by Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and John Mellencamp to support family farms. StrongHearts is an anonymous phone line service for Native Americans that offers culturally-appropriate mental health support.
Obviously, Rateliff cares about people from all walks of life and is more than willing to use his platform as a musician to support those who need help.

Other like-minded country and folk acts will be performing at the event as well. In addition, other major acts in the lineup include Diplo, Foo Fighters, Taylor Goldsmith (DAWES), Dave Matthews Band, Big Gigantic, and Bob Weir.
