Lil Nas X, perhaps one of pop’s brightest stars, recently stated that a collaboration with Lizzo is “definitely going to happen.” In an interview with BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, the star recounted their wild night at a strip club and subsequent talks of a collab. He says, “I was actually talking to Lizzo a few weeks ago [about this]. I feel that it’s definitely going to happen. It’s going to be a banger bop, everyone’s going to love it.”
A Crazy Night Out Forms Their Friendship
The two pop stars are known friends, and have been supporting each other since they first met. After the 2020 Grammys, Lizzo and Nas took to the streets to celebrate. Lizzo hosted an afterparty at Crazy Girls Strip Club, where the duo were spotted having a blast. Known for his online comedy, it’s no wonder why Lizzo has taken such a liking to Lil Nas X. Both are environmentalists, LGBTQ+ advocates, and aim to acknowledge social injustices through their music, social medias, and shows. They both spread light and positivity into the music world, and a collaboration between the two is a surefire hit.

Not The Only Collab for Lil Nas X
Though Lil Nas X feels his collaboration with Lizzo is a sure thing, she’s not the only feature on his list. In the same interview, Lil Nas stated that he wants to collab with Rihanna. He says, “I’m feeling Rihanna right now. Rihanna, get in this damn studio.” And now that we know Rihanna’s new album is in the works, it seems this duo could actually happen. Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see. For now though, fans can rejoice at his “definite” collaboration with Lizzo.
