Kpop Girl Group PURPLE KISS Releases Their 1st Single Album “FESTA”

Purple is on the top with PURPLE KISS’ first single album ever, 'FESTA.'

PURPLE KISS have released their first-ever single album, ‘FESTA.’ They’ve also announced their first headlining tour.

The Kpop girl group is made of six members: Na Goeun, Dosie, Ireh, Yuki, Chaein, and Swan. A previous member, Park Jieun, left the group near the end of last year due to health reasons. The girls are represented by RBW, the same entertainment company that has represented other well-known groups like MAMAMOO, KARD, and more.

Their first-ever single album, FESTA, contains three tracks: “7HEAVEN,” “Biscuit,” and “Mistake.” The music video for the title track, “7HEAVEN,” is colored in bright pastels and filtered through soft lights.

The group is becoming known for self-producing, and this single album is no exception. On “Biscuit,” members Chaein and Yuki are both credited as writers and lyricists. Chaein is also credited as a composer and arranger.

The girls started their musical journey as PURPLE KISS back in 2020. They released a pre-debut single in November of that year, “My Heart Skip A Beat.” Only a few months later, in February of 2021, they released another pre-debut song, “Can We Talk Again.”

On March 15, 2021, the Kpop group debuted with their title track “Ponzona.” Their debut EP, Into Violet, also included the two pre-debut songs, as well as four other tracks.

However, before PURPLE KISS, there was a YouTube channel, various Korean reality shows, a mini concert, a charity performance, and several music projects with other artists. All these events and activities took place when the girls were still trainees at RBW. Swan, the youngest member, now 20, recorded the guide vocals for Kpop queen Chungha’s 2019 song “Snapping.” Swan was only 16 at the time, and yet, she was recording guide vocals for one of the biggest soloists in Kpop.

The girls are slowly but surely making a name for themselves in the Kpop scene. In 2021, Rolling Stone India named them as the third best Kpop debut of that year. Now, PURPLE KISS have released their first single album. They have also announced their first headlining tour. The Festa Tour will be a US tour starting this October with stops in Boston, Chicago, LA, and more.
