Kara Explains Becoming Addicted to Someone During Lockdown
“2nd Nature” is a provocative song where Kara reveals to her lover that she wants him to spend the morning with her and enjoy each other’s company. “Come back, why you leavin’? Got the morning off, we can sleep in. No words, just feelings. So uncomplicated, we don’t. Need no phones, we can turn off. Lights off, turn the music up,” she sings in the first verse.
Under the music video for “2nd Nature” on her YouTube channel, Kara shared what inspired the song. “I wrote ‘2nd Nature’ during lockdown about being so comfortable with someone that being around them became addictive. I really wanted to reflect another angle of the song with the video so I played on the title by utilizing my favorite 3 elements of nature – fire, water & air. Each outfit was custom-made by incredible designers and were essential in helping me embody each element throughout my performance. Hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.”
