British singer-songwriter Jessie J made her big comeback to music after two years with her new single, “I Want Love.”
It’s Been A While Since We Last Heard Of Jessie J!
The last time we heard solo music from Jessie J was back in 2018. Can you believe it? We can’t, either! “Love Will Save The World” came out in August of that year, followed by Jessie J’s holiday album This Christmas Day. In 2019, she collaborated with Don Diablo on “Brave,” and in November of the same year, she released “One More Try” from & Juliet.
It’s 2021, and Jessie J is finally back. “I Want Love” is already bringing a fresh sound that highlights Jessie’s magnificent vocals. She shared, “I wanted to come back with a song that felt classic but modern. Big vocals and get everyone on the dance floor. I cannot wait for the world to hear this song and to dance and sing along loud.”
The singer dropped a lyric video as well, where she drives around on the California roads enjoying the day while singing her latest song. “I wanted the video to feel like people weren’t supposed to see this moment. A moment between the moments captured,” she said.
Ryan Tedder Helped Co-Write “I Want Love”
“I Want Love” was produced by Ryan Tedder and Marty Maro; who also co-wrote the track with Jessie J. “And the voice of voices is back, baby;” Tedder shared as he reposted the song’s snippet on his Instagram story. “1970s with 2021 feels.”
“I Want Love” is the first single leading up to the release of Jessie’s fifth full-length album. Ryan Tedder will help co-write it and produce it as well. In the singer’s announcement, she said, “This album is like a short film over many years of my life and this video is the first part of that story I’m sharing.”
The official music video for “I Want Love” is currently available exclusively on her Facebook. Go check it out and let us know what you think of it in the comments!
