iHeartRadio Music Awards: What To Expect

The iHeartRadio Music Awards will take place this upcoming Thursday, May 27 from 8-10 p.m. ET/PT live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Here’s what’s happening at the event!

Usher Will Host The Event

Usher will be the host for the evening, and he will be performing as well. “I’m excited to be hosting and performing during the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards,” Usher said in a statement. “This year’s show includes an incredible lineup of exceptionally talented artists. It’s going to be a great time!”

Elton John to Receive the Icon Award

Chris Martin and Lil Nas X will present Elton John with the 2021 iHeartRadio Icon Award. The honor is also set to feature a special tribute performance honoring John’s global impact on pop culture, seniority, and ongoing role as a touring and radio force.

Who Will Be There?

The Weeknd with Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, and Anderson .Paak (Silk Sonic), Dan + Shay, and Doja Cat will be the additional performers at the event. It’s going to be a superstar-filled night!

Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Roddy Ricch, twenty one pilots and Megan Thee Stallion will also make appearances at the event.

Who Has Nominations?

The Weeknd scored a leading eight nominations, followed by Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch with seven each and Harry Styles with six.
