Grammy Hall of Fame Induction

Every year the Grammy Hall of Fame meets to determine who should be honored for their musical talents or their significant contribution to the music industry.

This tradition has been going on for years to help preserve those that have paved the way for artists.

Similarly, there are rules to be inducted. Every year, a special member committee is formed of eminent and knowledgeable professionals from all branches of the recording arts.

For instance, since 1973, the board has been reviewing recordings, singles, albums, artists, agents, etc., to see if they are eligible for induction.

Above all, the selection must be at least 25-years-old and can be any genre.

“We are proud to announce this year’s diverse roster of GRAMMY Hall Of Fame inductees and to recognize recordings that have shaped our industry and inspires music makers of tomorrow,” said Harvey Mason jr., Chair and Interim President/CEO of the Recording Academy.

“Each recording has had a significant impact on our culture, and it is an honor to add them to our distinguished catalog.”
