GRACEY Honors Friendship On “Got You Covered”

Dance-pop star GRACEY’s first single of the year, “Got You Covered,” pays tribute to her best friend.

GRACEY Reminds Her Best Friend She’s “Got Her Covered”

Last year, GRACEY gave us the smash hit “Don’t Need Love” alongside 220 Kid and produced by duo Billen Ted. This time, she reunited with the production team to create a new single – and the end result didn’t disappoint.

This new, dance-pop hit is a celebration of friendship, as GRACEY wrote it for her best friend. “‘Got You Covered’ is a love song to my best mate,” she explains. “It’s about being there for someone no matter what. Recently, she’s been battling an eating disorder alongside going through a heartbreak. It’s about having someone’s back through the highest and lowest points of life. It’s my way of telling her she is never alone. A message I think needs to be said right now. While the pandemic has made it hard to physically be together, it’s proved the importance and value of these relationships even more.”

She continues, “I was also so excited to reunite with Billen Ted. They were a huge part of bringing ‘Don’t Need Love’ to life and they did the same with this song! The garage/dance influence they brought takes me right back to nights with my friendship group as 17-year-olds. I hope it spreads some good energy as we head into the summer months.”

“Got You Covered” is a fun, but heartfelt song that comes just in time for the summer. It also reminds us that although the last year has been hard for all of us, we should still stay in touch with our loved ones, even if it’s only virtually.

The song came out accompanied by an equally as fun lyric video, which uses the font style featured in the single’s cover art. Listen to “Got You Covered” and send it to a close friend that you miss!
