Cat Burns Recruits Sam Smith For New Remix of “Go”

Rising R&B artist Cat Burns recruited English singer-songwriter Sam Smith for a new version of her iconic song “Go.”

A New Version of “Go” Arrives Almost Two Years Later

The new remix of “Go” showcases a stripped-back rendition of the track originally released almost two years ago, in July of 2020! This was certainly a great way to give the song a new life and bring it to the attention of even more people, as the original single had already surpassed the 60 million streams on Spotify alone.

The new version of “Go” sounds simply beautiful as it connects Cat and Sam’s vocals flawlessly. Together, the pair sounds like a match made in heaven, even though the song narrates the story of a couple that is tearing apart due to the infidelity of the man in the relationship.

“So don’t call this number anymore. ‘Cause I won’t be there for you like I was before. I should have listened to my friends. They always know best. They said you werе just like all the rest,” are some of the words in the hurtful chorus.

Sam & Cat Make The Perfect Pairing

Sam comments, “I came across Cat’s music earlier this year and I was immediately moved and refreshed by her honesty, incredible technique, and delivery as a vocalist. I am so thankful to be a very small part of this special song and moment. Cat is a gift to us all.”

Cat adds, “What an honor and pleasure it was to work with Sam. They were super lovely and added an extra level of special to the song which is clear to hear. Still can’t believe this has happened, thank you Sam for elevating the song more than I could have imagined. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.”
