Will BLACKPINK Renew their Individual Contracts?

According to Soompi, YG Entertainment released a statement that said, “Hello, this is YG Entertainment. BLACKPINK recently renewed their contracts with YG for their group activities, and we have agreed not to proceed with additional contracts for [the members’] individual activities. We will do our utmost to support BLACKPINK’s activities, and we will cheer on the members’ individual activities with warm hearts. Thank you.”

After seven years, the members will find new homes for their solo activities. The girls have infiltrated not only the entertainment industry, but the fashion industry as well. They independently work alongside multiple luxury brands as global ambassadors, proving the worldly dominance of each member. If their solo jobs are self-managed or trusted with a US company, they will have more control over their content. This will lead to bigger things in each artist’s future.

The first current rumor circulating online comes from India Times. Potentially, Lisa and Rosé could sign to a US label such as Columbia Records. They have each received multiple offers. The second rumor is according to Hindustan Times. Surprisingly, Jisoo has allegedly signed to her brother‘s label, Blisoo. She will create music under this label while continuing to focus on her acting career. Where do you think the three members are going to end up? Are you going to support their individual endeavors?
