One of Afrobeat’s most popular artists right now, Rema, recently announced his North American tour dates. The Summer North American tour begins just two days after the conclusion of his European tour. Afropop artist Victony will join Rema on the North American tour. Rema recently hopped on the remix of Victony’s Afrobeat hit “Soweto.”
Rema And Victony Hit The Road This Summer
The two musicians will hit the road to North America on July 15th in Washington D.C. Then, Rema will perform in Boston, New York City, Houston, Chicago, and other cities with a grand finale show in Los Angeles on August 17th. For a total of 17 dates, Rema will celebrate his newfound success, performing tracks from his breakout debut album.
The Nigerian Afrobeats singer curates his special sound with enticing vocals and catchy melodies. At the age of 23, Rema became a global success earning the highest charting African song of all time on the US Singles Chart. Notably, the chart-topping hit “Calm Down” took off in 2022 and continues to soar in the Billboard Top 10 thanks to the Selena Gomez-assisted remix.
Rema’s latest release was just a couple weeks ago with the deluxe version of his 2022 debut album Rave & Roses. In addition to “Calm Down,” the LP featured stand-out tracks “Soundgasm,” “FYN” with AJ Tracey, and “Time N Affection.” Singles “Holiday” and “Reason You” were teased prior to the release of Rave & Roses Ultra. Even more, the bonus track “Charm” is already making waves on TikTok.
