The song is about being attached to someone no matter when or where they go. It reminds us that the truest forms of love is being there for someone through the good and the bad.
“When the night is over out of all the places I could choose. I go to you, only you. Feel you just below the surface, darling. All I wanna do is go to you.”
William Child directed the Claymation video that accompanied the track . Blanco, Marshmello, and Joy are enjoying a cookout when a green monster appears and kidnaps Marshmello and Joy. Blanco finds his friends, and when he’s about to fight the monster, he opens for a hug instead. The rest of the video shows the unlikely friendship blooming while they crack open a few beers, go to the movies, roll joints in a hot tub, and play pool.
The Indie-Folk and electronic mix of textures combine for an upbeat atmosphere and warm dance song.
When asked about how the song came to be, Benny Blanco said. “I’ve been friends with both Vance and Marshmello for a long time and it was just the right time for us to make a record together,”
Blanco Stated in the press release. “This song makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside and I hope everyone else gets the same feeling when they listen.”
