Some bad news is coming for the fans of the Canadian songwriter. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Shawn Mendes is postponing the United Kingdom and European legs of his “Wonder The World Tour.” The new dates have now been scheduled for 2023, while he will kick off the North American leg of the tour on June 27 in Portland, Oregon, as originally planned.
“I’m so sorry I won’t be able to see you guys sooner. We unfortunately were forced to move the UK/EU tour dates to 2023 due to the pandemic. Tour will start in June with the currently scheduled North America Dates, & the UK/EU rescheduled dates are at http://wonderthetour.com. This was a really difficult decision to make, but unfortunately, we have to reschedule the UK & EU tour from 2022 to 2023“, wrote the 23-year-old singer on his social media.
Mendes is just another one of the several names – Adele, Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, Elton John, Liam Payne and many others – forced to reschedule their events. The hope, for everyone, is that the situation is gonna improve. Especially for all professionals far from the lights of fame. Shawn Mendes’ tour is not only a huge music event. But also an important occasion of work for several workers and their families. That’s the most important thing that we should never forget.
The results of “Wonder”
Wonder, his last project is the album of the “chart records,” with the first place on US Billboard 200 and more than 154 millions visuals on YouTube for the videoclip of “Monster” featuring Justin Bieber. The album counts also on two deluxe: Wonder (Holiday Deluxe) and Wonder (Deluxe), with 6 tracks “Live From The Wonder Residencies”.
Shawn Mendes and fans are forced to wait the next year for some live music. We all hope in 2023 everything’s gonna change, we really miss the normality we had before.
