Travis Scott Announces Utopia Presents Circus Maximus Tour

Utopia Presents Circus Maximus Tour

Hip-Hop’s forerunner of 2023 thus far, Travis Scott, announces the Utopia Presents Circus Maximus Tour accompanying his latest album, Utopia. This marks the first tour since Scott’s Astroworld Festival tragedy in November 2021. The “Antidote” rapper takes on the U.S. and Europe for this leg, kicking off in Chicago and finishing off in Miami. The 28-concert tour begins this fall.

The Utopia Presents Circus Maximus Tour announcement and latest update arrived on August 8. Travis Scott uploaded the tour poster to his Instagram account with the caption reading, “UTOPIA TOUR SOON / US AND EURO DATES SOON TO BE ANNOUNCE / I MISS THE ROAD I MISSS YALLLL.”

George Condo designed the artwork which features a blonde, topless woman holding the rapper’s head in her hands. The North American Utopia Presents Circus Maximus Tour sees Travis Scott make his rounds stopping in cities like Boston, Atlanta, Oakland, Inglewood, Las Vegas, Austin, and more.

Circus Maximus (Film)

The tour is named after Travis Scott’s eccentric film Circus Maximus, premiering in AMC theaters prior to his latest record, Utopia. The film replicates Beyonce’s 2016 Lemonade film formula with a compilation of extended music videos. Moreover, the visuals bring the song lyrics, themes, and sonics to life.

Utopia Breaks Records

Apple Music confirms Utopia holds the biggest first-day streams of an album in 2023. On Spotify, the album gained 128 million streams, and 79 million on its second day. Even more, this makes it bigger than the first day of any other rap album released in 2023! In the opening week of release, the album sold 500,000 album-equivalent units and garnered 650 million global streams. Utopia has maintained its current position at number one on the Billboard 200 for a total of three weeks now. After selling approximately 180K units in the third week, Travis Scott’s Utopia is expected to sell another 158K in the fourth week.

The Utopia Presents Circus Maximus Tour is where the 32-year-old will perform his momentous fourth studio album, Utopia, for stadiums and arenas in North America. The album shifted the eyes and ears of music listeners around the world. Like Travis Scott’s previous two records, the featured artists were hidden. Defying expectations, this promotional decision enhanced the album listening experience, adding a higher element of surprise and excitement. Not to mention, the 19-track experimental work has a stacked feature list. SZA, Teezo Touchdown, Westside Gunn, and Drake delivered standout performances that had the whole internet talking.
