The Weeknd Pushes Back 2022 Tour

After a crazy year of concerts leaving, coming back, The Weeknd is announcing some important changes regarding his 2022 tour. The After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour, known as The After Hours Tour is set to take place during the Summer of 2022.

The upcoming seventh concert tour and first all-stadium tour held by Canadian singer-songwriter is in support of his fourth studio album, After Hours that was released in 2020. The change in the tour name may also be for his upcoming fifth studio album, Til Dawn. 

The Weeknd next album complete

In promotion with Live Nation, the tour originally set to begin in June 2020 and conclude in November. However, due to the pandemic and arena constraints, the plans pushed to next year.

Then in February 2021, the Weeknd postponed his tour for a second time. And he announced that the tour would begin in January 2022 in Vancouver.

And finally The Weeknd postponed the tour a third time on October 18. This time announcing that the tour will now begin in the summer of 2022, and will be held entirely in stadiums due to arena constraints.

Tickets bought through ticketmaster.com will be refunded automatically. And all previously purchased tickets will be valid for the corresponding rescheduled date, and tickets are on sale now for rescheduled dates.

The Weeknd After Hours

The Weeknd’s last recent project, After Hours, released in March of 2020, also garnered multiple certifications from the RIAA. The double-platinum album featured the tracks “Save Your Tears,” “After Hours” and “In Your Eyes” which all progressed to platinum. Additionally, “Blinding Lights” has officially been minted seven times platinum.

Since then, he has performed at the Super Bowl, won 10 Billboard Music Awards and Republic Records even won a Clio for the marketing campaign for the album.

Now he is looking to do bigger and better things as he walks toward a new dawn.

As of most recently The Weeknd took our breath away yet again with another new catchy single. “Take My Breath” is the newest single set to be a part of his new era of music.
