Taylor Swift’s Country Roots Return On “You All Over Me”

Taylor Swift just took us in a time-travel machine with her first ‘From the Vault’ song. In the new single “You All Over Me” from her forthcoming album Fearless (Taylor’s Version), she collaborated with Maren Morris to bring a hidden country gem to life.

“You All Over Me” Didn’t Make the Cut in 2008

As you may know, Taylor’s upcoming album, Fearless (Taylor’s Version), will include a set of re-recorded songs from her 2008 Fearless album. This is alongside six never-before-heard songs that didn’t make the album back then. Taylor announced the news of the new single on Instagram, only two days before its release. “HI. I wanted to let you know that the first ‘From the Vault’ song I’m releasing from Fearless (Taylor’s Version) comes out tomorrow at midnight eastern. It’s called ‘You All Over Me (From The Vault).’ One thing I’ve been loving about these ‘From The Vault’ songs is that they’ve never been heard, so I can experiment, play, and even include some of my favorite artists. I’m really excited to have Maren Morris singing background vocals on this song!! Produced by Aaron Dessner and co-written by Scooter Carusoe – can’t wait for you to hear it.”

Taylor Worked With a Producer From folklore And evermore

Aaron Dessner, one of the producers who helped Taylor create her 2020 albums folklore and evermore, was also one of the top contributors on this project. He shared on Instagram, “In addition to the work we did together on folklore and evermore, I recently had the pleasure of helping Taylor Swift rediscover and reinterpret some of her past work. As always, it was an honor to be able to collaborate with her….I produced the first unreleased ‘From the Vault’ song Taylor is releasing tonight at midnight eastern. ‘You All Over Me’ is from Fearless (Taylor’s version) and features the incredible Maren Morris on the background vocals. I hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed making it!”

Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is set to release on April 9 and we can’t wait!
