“Sobrio” is Maluma’s new video, the first extract from his next album. The latin artist shows a different himself on the track, more vulnerable from the other works. With a melodic pop sound, “Sobrio” contains all those feelings that Maluma hasn’t talked about before. Fans of the colombian star surely have some strong expectations about his projects, but with this drop Maluma wants to tell a dissimilar story. Previous singles “Hawai” and “Marinero” already suggested other aspects of the artist’s personality, now we have this confirmation.
Special cameos for the video
Text talks about a love delusion, in this case Maluma is the protagonist of his same storytelling. Instead the video presents cameos of some famous personalities. Like the models Eden Fines and Shanina Shaik, the singers Saweetie and Quincy, and the TV celebrity Scott Disick (after the previous “feud”).
While “PAPI JUANCHO” showed a cheeky Maluma, “Sobrio” is a sort of redemption. Maybe this could be a new perspective of the singer, never personal like this time. In general, reggaeton is that kind of genre that mainly talks about topics specific to love stories and explicits contents. Therefore surprising the new way of communication started by Maluma. Mostly if we talk about a strong character like him.
“Papi Juancho Maluma World Tour” is coming soon
Currently, after the interruption of the concerts for the pandemic emergency, he’s preparing for his return to live music with the Papi Juancho Maluma World Tour. Tour will start in September in Sacramento and will continue in more than 25 cities, including the arenas Madison Square Garden, FTX Arena and The Forum. But not only music, because Maluma is also working on his cinema debut with the film “Marry Me“, with the presences of Jennifer López and Owen Wilson.
Great period for the Colombian, successes of his songs are huge and doesn’t seem to be stopped for no reasons. Maluma is not only a stereotype, and he wants to show that to the world.
