Sebastián Yatra is gearing up for the release of his upcoming album Dharma, and he released the new single “Amor Pasajero” that will be part of it.
Sebastián Yatra Takes on Cumbia With “Amor Pasajero”
“Amor Pasajero” arrives as the first offering Yatra has this year as part of the album. He wrote the song alongside Andres Torres y Mauricio Rengifo, who also assisted as a producer.
The Argentine cumbia rhythm in “Amor Pasajero” is accompanied by a fun music video filmed in Buenos Aires; in the popular neighborhood of Villa Lugano, featuring Argentine actress Betiana Blum. Yatra himself thought of the idea for the music video, and it was directed by the visual collaborator of “Adiós” and “Chica Ideal,” Joaquín Cambre.
“Amor Pasajero” tells the story of how Yatra imagines he is dating the girl of his dreams, only to find out it has all been, indeed, a dream. “I’m going to keep drinking, crying for your soon-ending love. Thinking you’re mine, days go by and I don’t have you. I already arrived at the same bar to drink my sorrows again. And meet someone who makes me forget you even for a moment. I hope that one day you know well that you did it wrong,” he sings in the chorus.
Dharma + World Tour Coming Soon
Yatra recently announced that his upcoming studio album Dharma is set for release on January 28. It will include fan-favorites like “Runaway” and “Pareja del Año.” To celebrate and get fans excited for the album, the musician will be dropping one song from the album every week until its release.
Yatra has an exciting year ahead of him. Less than a month after Dharma comes out, he will be hitting the road for the Dharma World Tour in México, playing at different states across the country. In the summer, he will head over to Spain to play a few more shows and will cross the pond one more time; to travel to Paraguay in August for another show.
