Scotty McCreery Announces ‘Damn Strait’ Tour Dates

Scotty McCreery announces “Damn Strait” tour, named after his hit single of 2021, is set to hit the road. McCreery’s song “Damn Strait” quickly became his fifth consecutive No. 1. The American Idol winner snuck several George Strait references into the song. After performing George Strait as one of his finale songs in American Idol, McCreery had to claim “Damn Strait” when it was offered to him. Since being named the fourth most aired country song of 2022 by Billboard, it’s no wonder it became the namesake of his tour. The artist has not only wowed the charts with the song, but even country legend George Strait replied, “Man, I love it. Thanks for the tribute.”

“Damn Strait” Tour Route:

Scotty McCreery will be performing his fifth studio album, Same Truck, including “Damn Strait” and “You Time”. With over 20 concerts, there is plenty of opportunity to see McCreery live. Actually, the tour started on January 20 in Oklahoma. Then, hitting its height in March, he’ll make his way from Texas to Alabama. Next, McCreery stops at the Grand Ole Opry House twice, and he’ll be joined by Chase Rice, Lainey Wilson, Matt Stell, The Gatlin Brothers, Louise Mandrell, plus more! Following, McCreery will pit-stop in Canada, landing his last concert in Maryland. Lastly, he’ll finish the tour with a grand finale of three concerts in California, Louisiana, and South Carolina.

Surely, the last few months were certainly busy for Scotty McCreery musically as well. He added six songs in the release of Same Truck (Deluxe) and played several acoustic shows with Lee Brice. However, parenting his son has put a slow to McCreery’s roll. Since his son, Avery, was born in October, McCreery has been itchy to get back on stage performing his hits. Luckily, he rested over the holidays and is excited to return to the limelight. Scotty McCreery confessed, “I’ve enjoyed my time at home learning to be a Dad to Avery, but I’ve missed being onstage with the band and performing for the fans.”

And so, fans are certainly excited to see him performing again, as well. With all of the tickets on sale, he has nearly sold out of his concerts in every location. Not only will concert-goers get to experience McCreery’s amazing vocals, but four out of the eighteen songs on the deluxe album feature Scotty McCreery’s songwriting skills.
