This is Rosalía’s first single of 2023. It follows a heavy-hitting 2022 full of awards, live performances, and a world tour— the full MOTOMAMI experience. The sonically unique album earned Latin Grammys for Album of the Year, Best Alternative Music Album, Best Engineered Album, and Best Recording Package.

The album also garnered nominations for Best Music Film and Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album for the general 2023 Grammys.

“LLYLM” By Rosalía

No matter the upbeat, rhythmic production, the singer’s biting confession is something quite devastating.

“I don’t need honesty / Baby, lie like you love me, lie like you love me / Cover me in a dream, I’ll be yours or fantasy / Who needs the honesty?”

Rosalía’s flamenco flare is not enough to persuade her crush to stick around. But the chorus’s dive into pop R&B perfection is an excellent display of the Latin pop star’s magic.

Whether the singer’s release is lyrically an exhilarating loss, the fluttery production mirrors the single’s candid cover art.

Paris Fashion Week

Last week, the original Motomami found herself performing at Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall-Winter 2023 Fashion Show during  Paris Fashion Week. Hosted at the Louvre, Rosalía delivered a set of MOTOMAMI cuts and some older favorites atop a yellow lowrider.

She paraded between the layout and models while handling insane vocals in full gray LV regalia, accentuated by black platforms, a gray hooded puffer jacket and dark leather gloves.

Between her live performance, a curated playlist of other artists’ tracks played— everything from Dominican rapper Angel Dior to the late Spanish singer Camarón de la Isla.
