R3HAB, Luis Fonsi, and Sean Paul have joined forces for a new EDM/Latin banger, “Pues.”
R3HAB Enters the Latin World
This sunny, new track arrives just in time for the summer. Fans of EDM and Latin music will be able to dance along to the song, as it’s the perfect mix of both genres. Plus, Sean Paul brings along his distinctive Caribbean vibe, making “Pues” a fusion of different cultures.
This is not the first time that the Dutch DJ is collaborating with a Latin artist, though. Last year, he worked with the Argentine singer TINI and Mexican pop rock band Reik. The trio dropped the bilingual single “Bésame (I Need You),” making that R3HAB’s debut into Latin music. Since then, he’s also worked with other Latin artists such as Rauw Alejandro, Hungria, and MC Jacare.
“Pues” came out accompanied by a fun music video, which certainly invites people from all over the world to dance along. Although none of the three artists perform in the video, they managed to give the song the visual it needed. The video spotlights dancers from Puerto Rico, each tackling different choreographies throughout the entire video.
The Trio Talks About Working On “Pues”
About the new collaboration, this is what each of the artists has said. “It’s always a pleasure to work with industry legends such as Luis Fonsi and Sean Paul. They are both experts of their craft, and together we came up with a reggaeton-dance record perfect for warm summer nights. I’ve been having a great time making music with artists across the Latin world. I’m inspired by the diversity of music cultures within Latin music and have many more to explore. ‘Pues’ is different from everything I’ve released so far, and I’m glad to give it over to our fans now. I hope you love it as much as I do,” R3HAB shared.
Also speaking about the new song, Luis Fonsi said, “I love collaborating and exploring all kinds of genres. So I was very excited when the opportunity came to work with two music giants such as R3HAB and Sean Paul. It was a lot of fun recording ‘Pues’ and can’t wait for everyone to listen and dance to it.”
Finally, Sean Paul shared his excitement about “Pues.” “This song is dopeness and Luis Fonsi is an artist I have a lot of respect for! R3HAB blew this one up like a firework!”
