Pooh Shiesty Is In Mid-Season Form With Debut Mixtape

Pooh Shiesty has been emerging as a trap-star over the past six months and looks to make waves with his debut mixtape Shiesty Season

His breakout single “Back In Blood” with Lil Durk has been steadily rising on every chart for weeks. The rapper has also been blowing up on YouTube for a while now, and with the help of some big names, Pooh Shiesty is walking into the mainstream spotlight.

Shiesty has appeared in over 30 songs since signing to Gucci Mane’s The New 1017 label last March. The artist has been hard at work with eight tracks just on Gucci’s 2020 mixtape, So Icy Summer.

The Memphis native has proven to be an available featured artist, and now Shiesty Season is his real statement as a solo artist.

His four previously released singles — “Neighbors”, “Twerksum”, “Guard Up”, and “Back In Blood” are all on the 17-track project. It also features some big names like 21 Savage, Tay Keith, and Gucci Mane.

The mixtape is a hard-hitting piece of Southern trap that is reminiscent of a time before auto-tune and rappers singing. Pooh Shiesty’s thick Memphis accent is accompanied by the raw lyrics of his rap lifestyle. From the flow to the producing and mixing, the album is a head-banger that keeps the same energy throughout.

On Zane Lowe’s Apple Music Radio show, Shiesty let fans know what to expect from the debut.“You getting big Shiest on this mixtape,” Pooh Shiesty said. “I’m touching on all categories. Expect me to get versatile. It’s lit. You can expect some big features, shooting a video to every song on there. We’re going all the way up.”

His Mixtape is now streaming on all platforms.
