Olivia Rodrigo is 2022’s Billboard Woman of the Year

Billboard has announced that Olivia Rodrigo is this year’s Woman Of The Year. A recognition that she will receive on March 2.

Billboard’s Women in Music Honors Olivia Rodrigo

Billboard’s annual Women in Music Awards honors the top female artists, producers, and executives who’ve made huge strides in the music industry that year. Each year, Billboard awards the highest honor of Woman of the Year. The event will take place on March 2 at the YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, California. 

Reba McEntire was the first to receive the award in 2007. To clairfy, Cardi B was the last recipient for the 2020 honor since 2021 was a Covid cancellation. Taylor Swift is the only woman who received the award twice — in 2011 and in 2014. Other notable women who have received the recognition include Cardi B; Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Madonna and Lady Gaga.

More Powerhouse Women Will Receive Awards And Perform

2009 Woman of the Year, Ciara, will host this year’s Billboard Women in Music Awards show. Some powerhouse women in the industry who will both perform and receive an award. Gabby Barrett will sing and receive the Rising Star Award. In addition Phoebe Bridgers not only performs but takes the Trailblazer honor. After making history as the first trio of women to Top 3 of Billboard’s Chart, Doja Cat garners the well deserved Powerhouse Award. Performing as well are Karol G, Saweetie, and Summer Walker who will all receive honors as well.
