Nicki Minaj Releases Greatest Hits Album – Queen Radio: Volume 1

Nicki Minaj Queen Radio Volume 1

Rap mogul Nicki Minaj released her Greatest Hits Album titled Queen Radio: Volume 1, at the end of August. The album contains 29 tracks that embody her one of a kind artistry, skilled lyricism, and versatility. Queen Radio: Volume 1 spans the genres Trap, Reggae, Pop, EDM, Drill, R&B and more. Minaj handpicked the tracklist from her vast discography which includes four studio albums and three mixtapes. However, one of the three mixtapes, Beam Me Up Scotty is available on streaming services.

Tracks from Beam Me Up Scotty and Pink Friday

Speaking of, “Itty Bitty Piggy” appears on Queen Radio: Volume 1 from the breakout 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty. “Itty Bitty Piggy” entails the rap queen spitting metaphors over Soulja Boy’s “Donk” beat. The following year Nicki released her highly acclaimed and influential debut album Pink Friday. Global hits Super Bass,” “Romans Revenge (feat. Eminem),” ”Fly (with Rihanna)” and six other tracks from Pink Friday feature on the Greatest Hits Album. Minaj fuses Pop and Rap with “Super Bass,” proves her rap skills on “Romans Revenge” and reveals a vulnerable side on “Fly.”

Tracks from Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded

Following Pink Friday is Nicki Minaj’s second album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. The platinum 2012 album experimented with many genres but, especially Pop. The hits “Pound The Alarm” and “Starships” are Pop essentials to the playlist as they affirmed Nicki could succeed in genres outside of Rap. In addition, the album still included a few timeless rap hits including “High School (with Lil Wayne)” and “Beez In The Trap (with 2 Chainz).” All of which were mandatory to include in Minaj’s Greatest Hits Album.

Tracks from The Pinkprint

However, Nicki fully returned to her rap roots on her third studio album, The Pinkprint. The rapper clapped back at the haters that boxed her in the Pop music category following her second album. Minaj handpicked tracks Truffle Butter (with Drake and Lil Wayne),” “Favorite (with Jeremih),”  and “Anaconda” for Queen Radio: Volume 1.

“Super Freaky Girl” and “Anaconda”

Both “Anaconda” and Minaj’s newest single “Super Freaky Girl” utilize the same formula of incorporating samples from old classics. Minaj puts her own spin on them embracing her body, sexuality and freaky side. “Super Freaky Girl” earned Minaj her first number 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart just this month. These upbeat sexy tracks are amazing choices for the album.

Nicki Minaj’s 2022 Releases

In addition to “Super Freaky Girl”, the rapper includes 2022 Rap collaborations “We Go Up (with Fivio Foreign),” “Do We Have A Problem? (with Lil Baby)” and “Bussin (with Lil Baby)” on the album. Nicki returned to the game like she never left, spitting audacious bars on these three singles.
