Maude Latour, 21 years old from New York City, is the cover’s protagonist of our new Music Daily Discovery. “Trees” is the title of her new single, the third of 2022. Maude is one of the most interesting artists on our radar: for those who remember, indeed, we’ve already talked about one of her latest projects, “Headphones”.
The new track has the most classic scheme of the pop genre, but with a formula that makes everything more fascinating. Maude speaks with the language of her peers, without trying to be different by force. But, with just the beauty of her voice, she’s able to communicate something that goes beyond the lyrics. An alternative pop track full of sensations and feelings, that gives more than you expect.
Tour coming soon and festivals
Moreover, just a week ago, the young songwriter announced a tour for this fall. It’ll be launched on 9/29 in Boston at Paradise Rock Club and finishing up on 11/2 at New York City famed Irving Plaza. In the meantime, it’ll be possible to see her live at Lollapalooza 2022, in Chicago. But it’s not over. Indeed, she’ll also be on stage for two festivals: All Things Go (Columbia) and Austin City Limits (Austin). Maude Latour’s 2022 schedule is already full, and who knows, new music’s gonna come out soon. We can’t wait to see how her career is gonna evolve, but the premises are excellent. She still has all the time in this world to become a gem, as she surely is.
“Trees” is just another dowel of a path started 3 years ago, with “Starsick EP”. That was a project still immature, but now things are changed. The new singles show a different Maude, with more awareness. The talent is the same, but everything else is not (in a positive way). Her presence at festivals with all these big names (Lorde, Dua Lipa, Green Day ecc…) testifies to it.
Maude Latour’s story has just started, and is destined for great things.
