Masego And Friends Have A Garden Party With New Single

Last week, the always smooth and jazzy Masego released a new track with some great company. “Garden Party” is the latest track from the Virginia Native that features JID and Outkast Legend Big Boi.

As far as the single itself, it falls into the categories of Jazz and Soul. The instrumental hook is insanely catchy and consists of lively trumpets and drums. Meanwhile, Masego and friends bring us some pretty solid bars during the three-minute ‘party’.

All the artists rap their way through what seems to be quite a lively night full of great vibes.

‘Cause, it looks like stomp the yard in the garden,

Battle of the bands, we startin’

Here all night, they won’t leave

We all vibe and we sing like”

I guess one of the biggest perks of having musicians at the party is the free live music.

Overall the song has some great Melodies, and JID and Big Boi respectably come with some solid verses. However, the vibe of the song and what Masego is describing seems vastly different.

But this the night of the battle of the bands

Slash krump battle, slash twerk dance, slash rap battle”

And to be completely honest, no one is doing any of those things to this song. Masego’s parties must be very different from what most people are used to because this song would get some odd looks if this was played at a lit function.

Regardless it is still a pretty solid track, and as the first single he’s put out this year, it isn’t a terrible start.

Masego Has Been Turning Up On Tracks All Year

Although this is the first single we’ve heard under Masego this year, he has been hard at work popping up on plenty of other tracks.

Other than releasing a remix of his popular 2020 track “Mystery Lady (feat. Don Toliver)” Masego has been playing more of a support role.

So far he has been featured on tracks from Jords, ELHAE, and most notably on Lucky Daye’sGood & Plenty (Remix)“.

With such unique talent, hopefully, we can get more from the Saxophone playing singer/rapper before 2021 ends. But for now, listen to the new single and comment down below telling us what YOU think.
