Keshi Drops “Touch” and Announces Debut Album

Keshi Has Nowhere To Go But Up

Alternative R&B artist Keshi is back with “Touch,” the perfect dreamy makeout jam. The Houston native is known for blending lo-fi hip hop beats with intoxicating pop melodies and smooth, soulful lyrics. He’s been releasing singles and EP’s since 2017 and has gained a large and passionate following. Casey Luong is the 27-year old behind Keshi. Impressively, Casey taught himself how to write, produce, perform and engineer his own music. And now he’s transitioning from bedroom pop to the big leagues with his upcoming debut album, gabriel. And if gabriel, sounds anything like he’s serving on “Touch,” Keshi is going to be the next big thing.

Intoxicating Romantic Vibes on “Touch”

“Touch” sets the bar even higher for Keshi, with some of his most mature sounding production yet. The peaceful piano carries the track with distant percussion making this drop feel atmospheric. He sings the chorus in a chopped and screwed style, repeating, “Wrong, but it feels so right.” With the autotuned voice dropped several octives lower, he’s paying homage to Houston’s hip hop roots. It feels heavily produced yet intimate and romantic with his delicate delivery. If this is just a teaser of what’s to come on the full album, then we’re all in for a treat. Keshi released a dramatic video accompanying the track, with beautiful cinematography. It follows Keshi and his love interest around Malibu, showing the highs and lows of their relationship. Check out the video for “Touch” below.

Keshi Leaves Us Wanting More

Luckily, fans won’t have to wait much longer to hear more music from Keshi. His debut album, gabriel, is due February 25 via Island Records. Keshi shared the 12 song tracklist through an Instagram post last week.
