Jorja Smith Marks Her Directorial Debut With ‘Falling or flying’

Jorja Smith has released “Falling or flying,” the title track of her upcoming record, which is due to come out on September 29. The song, it’s, it’s… it’s really powerful. So powerful that it’s actually kind of hard to find the right words.

The track comes out a month after “GO GO GO” (here you’ll find our MD article) and it’s part of a mini-ep, which also contains “Try Me” and “Little Things.” “Falling or flying” is back on track with Jorja Smith’s old classics. It also indicates, though, that we’ll see a lot of experimentation with the new album. What the British singer does is a music breakdown of the beliefs about her. She never gives her fans what they want but what they need in order to understand the complexity of her lyrics.

“Falling or flying” is a dramatic ballad of contemporary R&B. In the song, you can hear that Jorja isn’t afraid to push the boundaries of her creativity.

The single also features an accompanying music video that marks the singer’s directorial debut.

The artist has also unveiled the tracklist of the upcoming record, also named falling or flying. The album will feature guest appearances from the likes of J Hus and Lila Iké.
