Jin from BTS has recently released his newest single, “The Astronaut.” He debuted the song at Coldplay’s October 28th Buenos Aires concert.
“The Astronaut”
BTS’ eldest member, Kim Seokjin, aka Jin, has just dropped his latest single, “The Astronaut.” In addition, he released the music video on October 28th. This was the same day that he debuted the song live. The singer joined Coldplay at their Buenos Aires concert and sang his heart out.
Initially, Coldplay wrote the song, but after working with BTS on “My Universe,” Chris Martin gifted the song to the k pop idol. Jin then wrote his own verses for the song in Korean. The song is meant for both the members in BTS and their fanbase ARMY. Also, Jin did keep the English chorus Coldplay wrote.
BTS’ Official Twitter shared text messages between Chris Martin and Jin. The two of them talk about Jin performing live with Coldplay in Argentina.

This is what made Jin’s debut of the song so much more special. Above all, “The Astronaut” is yet another song that proves how music transcends languages and their barriers.

Enlistment In The Military
Jin is set to enlist in the military as soon as possible. With the release of “The Astronaut”, the k pop artist is not waiting on anything else.
Jin turns 30 this coming December, which is the age extension that the Korean government brought into existence in 2020. In detail, the new law is that a pop-culture artist can wait until his 30th birthday to enlist in the military. The standard mandate for South Korean men is that they must enlist by their 28th birthday.
Each member of BTS will most likely enlist within the next year.
