Ties to the Music Community

LeBron James’ off-the-court life is just as captivating as his on-court prowess, as is demonstrated in the biography. An interesting aspect for our purposes is his deep connections in the music industry.  The superstar regularly showcases his friendships with some of the biggest names in music. He’s been seen with powerhouse artists like Jay-Z, Travis Scott, and Kendrick Lamar.  Not to mention that he and Drake are also extremely close and have been friends for over a decade. Further, the members of Migos are close associates of LeBron as well, and he voiced his dismay at the tragic death of Takeoff earlier last year. As a basketball icon and cultural influence, LeBron’s bonds with these music legends speaks to the impact he has made beyond the world of sports.
