Garth Brooks Releases 14th Album

Garth Brooks is finishing off 2023 with a bang. The country star is releasing his 14th album, Time Traveler, today, November 7th. The record release is timed with the grand opening of his new bar, Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk in Nashville.

Garth Brooks produced the entire 10-track album by himself. The record release is special not just for the opening of his bar, but also due to the limited-release, boxed set it is included in.

The Limited Series is a 7-disc boxed set selling exclusively at Bass Pro Shops nationwide. For those who pre-ordered online, it is shipping out in the middle of November. The Limited Series includes the albums Man Against Machine, Gunslinger, Fun and the 3-disc Triple Live. According to a press release for Time Traveler, it notes that this is the third and final release of The Limited Series. The previous two releases came out in 1998 and 2005.

In the same press release, Garth Brooks said, “There are a lot of different eras on this album, thus the name. Country music’s core is sincerity; after that, you can dress it up a thousand different ways. I am so lucky to live under the flag of Country Music.”

Garth Brooks’ New Dive Bar

As mentioned above, the album release coincides with the opening of Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk. The dive is a three-story entertainment concept and bar named after his signature hit. Brooks acquired the 40,000+ square foot property back in December 2021. It is in Lower Broadway in Downtown Nashville. Fans who wanted the chance to honky tonk with Brooks on opening day had to win tickets for entry. The only way to do so was by tuning into The BIG 615 station on the TuneIn mobile app.

The lucky winners get to join Brooks at the grand opening on November 24th. They will also get to see Brooks perform a free show for the opening. Additionally, for those who are unable to attend, the show will be live-streamed on Amazon Prime and Twitch at 7 PM EST.
