The Amazons are finally getting the recognition they deserve. With a new album out-How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me?-and multiple upcoming dates in world-famous festivals, the English rock band is finally realizing what they’ve been working for the past nine years.
‘How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me?’
2022 was undoubtedly the year that changed everything for The Amazons. The release of a new record, How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me?, opening tours for Greta Van Fleet and Royal Blood made last year their best.
Despite being their most pop album so far, How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me? is surely one of The Amazons’ best records so far. Cohesive and strong on both the musical and lyrical sides, the album embraces The Amazons’ strengths. With singles like “Bloodrush” and “Ready For Something,” and the anticipated ballad “One By One,” How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me? is an unmissable listen for all the biggest alternative rock and pop rock fans.
Becoming A Trio
Joe went on the Amazons’ profile to make a statement. “I’m not one for eloquently scribing the inner workings of my life through lyrics or in song form but for playing the beats that accompany them,” he began.
“”HWIKIHWFM? will be the last time I accompany the incredible songwriting and lyrics of Matthew Thomson, the sexy guitar tones of Christopher Alderton and the pulsing thud of my rhythm section partner Elliot J Briggs.
I’m vacating my seat behind the drums (last night at the roundhouse being my last show). A decision that has not been easy to make but one that was made earlier this year. I’ll never forget the incredible highs of sitting behind my best mates playing the songs you sing back to us. It’s been an immense pleasure and memories I’ll treasure forever.”
He then concluded:
“It’s time for me to prioritise other things and continue to give my family my all. I wish the guys all the success in the world, I’ll never forget a moment. Thank you.”
