Dua Lipa Has New Music in the Works

Global pop star Dua Lipa is currently on her Future Nostalgia tour across the United States, but that has not stopped her but thinking about the next chapter in her career.

Dua is in “No Rush” to Release New Music

Just as Dua was about to kick off the U.S. leg of the Future Nostalgia Tour, she spoke with the Wall Street Journal about what other plans she has for the future.  “I’ve done a big chunk of writing: It’s starting to take shape; I’ve got a lot of it recorded,” she said. “It has a vision. It has a name, I think — for now. It’s just been fun experimenting.”

She continued, “I’m always going to make pop music, but it has its own unique sound, which is exciting and something that feels like a movement from Future Nostalgia. It’s still in baby form, so we’ll see as it progresses.  In all honesty, it’s probably not what my fans want to hear, but I’m in no rush.”

So, Dua has some music finished but she wants them to be perfect for fans to hear! And that comes as no surprise, after all, Future Nostalgia was a Grammy-winning album. It definitely sky-rocketed Dua’s popularity in the music industry, as the album gave us hit singles like “Don’t Start Now,” “Break My Heart,” “Physical,” “Hallucinate,” and “Levitating”.

Dua has actually spoken about the success of “Levitating” and how that impacted the album. “I can never preempt what song people are going to react to the best but ‘Levitating’ was the first song that helped dictate the rest of the album.”

Dua is Traveling Around the World on the Future Nostalgia Tour

Dua will have a pretty busy 2021. Throughout the entire year, she will be touring around the entire world visiting different countries and even continents, from Europe to Australia, all the way to Latin America. As for now, the very last tour stop that she has scheduled is taking place in Perth, Australia on November 16, so hopefully, she gets a well-deserved break after that! All dates and tickets to her tour are available here.

Tell us, are you seeing Dua live in concert this year? What do you think of new music in the works?
